Default Wiring ? for trolling motor

I got a new trolling motor to mount on the bow of the boat. Its a riptide 70 lb unit and its 24 volts and minn kota says fuse it at 60 amps and run #6 awg wire. My boat has been prewired with 4 #10 awg wires. They run about 18 feet from the back to bow. Can I use 2 of these #10 awg wires paired for each leg of the 24 volt circuit instead of replacing the wire with 2 #6 awg wires. Will this be adequate for the voltage drop? I dont know hom many amps this motor pulls at full load. All MK states is to fuse it at 60 amps.

I did the same thing on the last bass Boat I had, It was rigged for 12/24 I used both hot wires together and both grounds worked on a motor about the same as yours.
Also I would run it steady for hours and never did throw a breaker.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it would work but was unsure about it.
