    Default GPS file converter..

I have installed and have been testing the new beta version of GpsBabel (1.3.7 beta).

It has an installer, so it is easy to install and also has a desktop Icon you can select if you want.

It is user friendly. I have converted files (back and forth) from HB to Lowrance to Garmin to Oziexplorer to GPX with no troubles. I haven't loaded wpts onto the units yet, as I don't have my units here at home. I see no problems.

Looks like we have the option of moving data from unit to unit if you have the right "coms".

Your fellers and fellerettes might wanna look into this beta version. I like it.

Scroll down to bottom of web page for beta version.

I am not familiar with the Vista H. This is not an upgrade type program. It is a file converter.

If you have waypoints, tracks, etc. you can use this program to convert from one unit file format to another.

    Example:

    lowrance to hummminbird

    garmin to humminbird

    lowrance to garmin

    etc.

Just use the from to windows and the program converts for you.

You can also use the on line Gpsbabel file converter to do the same conversions.

Just fill in the from to address windows.
