older units had gasket issues... bad supplier... Lorrance has since channge suppliers for the gaskets... I've heard this had cleared up the water leaking into the unit.

I am glad they solved the problem, I had 2 in Lowrance finders in the past and they both leaked. I could hardly read the screen at times.

Yes i believe the Structure Scan will be out at the end of this week.

As for the units, well, chit happens.....they fixed it buy unfortunately there are probably more units on the shelf that hasn't gotten out. Lots of people got PO'd about this, every right to, but this didn't help lowrance out. This could happen with any product you purchanse. Me personally i didn't like they way it went down but i'm sticking with my lowrance units and will be getting the SS when it's released this week. Ok, so $600, it's not that much more than other SI units. What, $200 more? I don't know why people just keep on bashing.....read the post and move on.

basspro.com has finally added structurescan to the website. I have heard rumors on other boards of units being shipped or getting ready to ship (to customers - not suppliers), so hopefully they will start showing up soon.

westmarine still has the best deal using the 10% promo - structurescan promo

good luck getting one and hooking it up!
