Thread: Humminbird question????

Humminbird gonna allow "trade ins"? There exists a strong secondary market for marine electronics (as you already know). The economy is down, and employment is way down. "Recession means concessions", so how bout some encouragement from management? "Cash for trash" sounds good.

I might consider the 998 if the gps works. Let's make a deal.

wonder if there is a way to delete stuff on the 797 so the down scan will work, I understand as of now it cant be added?

I have not heard of any trade-in or upgrade program. I would suggest that if someone wants something like this that they call Humminbird and ask for it. Who knows; if enough ask for it maybe management will set something up?

Deleting parts of the 797’s software would require a possible total rewrite of the software itself and I doubt that it would be done. Right now the word is that the 797 will not have the memory available for the Down Imaging software.

I called. No trade ins, but the lady I talked with liked the ideee. She was nice and said she would pass the suggestion to mgt.

Maybe we need some more get togethers We could fish, smoke weed get hi & call HBtie up their phones asking for what we should be entitled to- Trade In offer, then fish then smoke etc.. just no smoking while fishing as that is serious stuff, fish fry etc, and so on???
Maybe we should assign folks to call HB asking for trade in-or free offer?-- to help both the 797 & 997 folks upgrade their units, it could go like this ---say states A thru K call during the first 15 days of month,-states L thru X call last days 16 thru 30 of month. --{ Us being all nice folks would make no calls on the 31st day just cause we are nice guys??(of course this is @your option??,I am not against givin them a break one day a month:rolleyes:I kinda like them HB folks anywho)]--gosh it would be nice to make this into some sort of a contest as well but that maybe more thinking then my little brain could handle:o well just my 2 cents worth, that CP sure is a trouble maker:D:D:D guess that's why I like him:rolleyes: Oh,just so there's no reflection on our beloved C.C site we could use one of those BASS SITES?? for "call" messages...:D
