there are three lines coming out of the power cord hook up. one is a comm. cord, one is power for the gps puck and it will have a red and a black wire. it has to be hooked up just like the other red and black wires which are for the power for the unit. if you do not do this the unit will read gps not responding. i have 2 of these on my boat so that is how i know. I have been using lowrance gps units for years so i am feeding u any bull. if the 3 cords are still marked with a little piece of silver tape, you can read what they are. the power for the gps puck will say nmea power.
Go to Lowrance and download the user manual.

OK He has the power connected correctly, I think. He has a network connector instead of a T (3-way)connector. Do the other two open ports need to be terminated?

If it still doesn't work I would remove that network connector & at least temporary hook it up like Cane's drawing to see if that's the problem, or then again maybe GPS problem was the reason somebody sold it off??????????

curious, what did he have to give for the used unit?
What all did he get with it?

Ifin it is wired correctly & still shows 'module not responding',,, ya might as well bite the bullet and buya new antenna. <*)}}}><
