Default Hand writing on the wall.

More and more manufacturers are developing and selling dedicated ( and more expensive) gadgets such as the electronic foot controls (Terrova). This keeps tinkerers from getting some of their (manufs) repair/return business. These electronic foot pedals suck. I can fix my old Motorguide TM with generic parts such as micro switches. Progress sucks at times.

Tom I love the foot control my my Terrova and the remote also. Shoot to me they go hand in hand for me.
But I do plan on getting a set of springs for the foot control. And seeing if I can make mine where it takes less force to use.

Let me know how you make out with the springs--I don,t think anything would be any easier than the remote

Tom what is it that you don't like about your foot control? I have to admit I seldom use the one that came with my Terrova because I use the co-pilot remote worn on my wrist but when I have used it it seemed to work fine. It didn't seem sluggish at all.

I have the V2. Hard to mash the buttons and also I mash the on/off and turn at the same time.

I guess I have coordination probs. Most folks with the V2 know what I am complaining about.

    I never used a Terrova.
