    Spike-It dye on the other hand does bleed as well as fade and a bright chartreuse lure after dipping will dull if black or other dark color is applied to one side for example.     I have tried the "Spike it" dye and you cannot control the dye or effects due to bleeding. I will check out "Spike it" paint and see if I can replicate and duplicate the effects I want. Having said all that, the marker technique is good for a day's fishing. Just be sure you have let it dry about five minutes before inserting in the water. Since I have the molds, I just found it easier to make up ten lures whenever I want to go fishing. I appreciate the heads up on the Spike It paint. I looked at Bass Pro shop and Cabella's and the only paint I saw from Spike it was chartreuse or orange. I am looking for Blood and black. Do they make it in those colors?
