The higher the temperature I've found yellows light, translucent or clear colors faster which I prefer and I'm a stickler for true color especially when using fine glitter - and glitter in general - will fade faster at over 300 degree on the reheat. I don't sell lures so restocking or making lures in a large quantity for quick sales is not an issue.
Are you still making a spoon baits in your case I don't think you would even have to have it at 300° knowing what you do it's whatever you get comfortable with.
