I'm sure you are making me some 4inchers in that monkey milk color too Bob. The 4 inchers help to detour the 12 and 13 inch fish. I believe your right DrNip as the crappie in the midwest and south have no problem eating a 5-6 inch shad. Fished 3 inch baits tipped with 2-3 inch minners a bunch and caught plenty of crappie from 9-16 inch.
