Don't know if this has ever been discussed here but I have a tip for you'll. You see I have a 2.5" carrot that for the life of me doesn't shoot every cavity all the time. When it happens it's anywhere from 1-3 of the last cavities not properly filled and only happens when shooting a body onto tail. I believe it is due to not having adequate amount of vent grooves in mold and I have plans of opening them up one day. I will use last night for an example. I was shooting a red onto chartreuse and only had enough red for shooting a body onto tail with a smidge to spare. Well I shot the body and if the last 3 bodies didn't form onto the tail properly. I knew I didn't have enough red to put the 3 tails back in and shoot as well as fill up the remaining 9 cavities. I wasn't trying to mix up a fresh batch of red just for 3 baits either. So what do I do? Simple I plug the mold with plastic so it only shoots the cavities I need.
