Thanks. Amazing how I always believed that curl tails and other action tails were necessary to catching fish, especially those capable when using very slow retrieves. But what I've discovered is that a lure that has a greater effective speed range will outproduce any other lure most of the time, assuming fish are for the most part inactive and suspending. The ice cream cone and the club shaped grubs shown, using soft plastic, have proven to be my best grubs ever alongside the flat straight tail that flutters regardless of imparted action. Anglers watching me catch fish after fish must wonder - what the H is he using?!!!
I'll never tell! LOL
