I've had Great success with my Ice stingers using a #10 silver blade hook
The Ice Kraken caught my interest, is that mold available

I'm pretty sure both of these baits come from custom cut molds...made for the company. Both of these have that wispy, thread-thin tails and legs that ice fishing demands. Jacobs has a 1" stinger mold that is something on the order of those baits you show in your post billygee.

I do have that Jacobs 1" Ice stinger and like I said we have had done very well using this bait in various color combo's

If the Ice Kraken mold is not available,
I found the Jacobs 1 3/8" BREAM BUG - 6 cavity mold about as close as one could get,
maybe using the CC Soft for better action.

The Kraken is my own design and making. I design and make all my molds. It's a serious addiction.

I would not go with the soft plastic. The thin sections will not last more than a couple bites. I would recommend regular plastisol. no need for soft plastic. You will get the same action with better resilience from medium/regular plastisol.

I'm shooting regular Essential into the 1" stinger mold. This plastic has unreal stretch. I have other small ice-type plastic molds that I use a softened Essential in but they have a little more substance in the legs and tails.
