I've never been happy with the finish on my essential series molds, so I figured out a way to get the finish much better. First, I taped the mold up and used a razor to trim out the cavities. Then I painted the cavities with high heat gloss engine paint. Problem solved.

The baits now look as good as if they were from a machined mold. There is still some texture, but it's much better. Just thought I'd pass this along. I know most of you guys don't make bass baits, but if you were thinking about getting an essential series mold, this makes them much better.

This is the finished mold.
