I use this one. No locking pin and easier to use in my opinion. Medium Injector - 4oz Do- it X2 colorant and 1000 watt microwave that has a 30 second button. Must have the 30 second to help me from burning the plastic. 8 oz. pyrex cups and some good gloves. Good temp gun. I never sit when I am shooting so I can run real fast. That plastic is very hot.

Ifish......what temp are you looking for from out of the microwave?

Looks like Jacobs is getting the majority of the fan base. Appreciate the ideas and suggestions.

One thing I'm not getting into!!!!!!!! With the talent and skill of folks doing it now, I'll get em from them and save the head ache of learning it, plus I don't have any free space to do it.

Id recommend X2 colorant just for your fluorescent colors. Other colors i would get spike it. These are great colorants and much better for mixing custom colors. Not sure why but i dont see many crappie guys mixing their own colors any more. One drop of X2 is too strong without cutting it down for tweaking colors.

If you ever plan on doing laminates i would just bite the bullet and get the twinjector from basstackle now. You can break it down and use the injectors individually for single colors also!

You are right about the X2. I shoot mostly opaque florescent colors and it is very hard to get some of the translucent like smoke or the light blues out of the X2. I use a toothpick when going light on the X2. Good idea on the twin. Still do not have one but getting closer. I like my baits to contrast front to back for some reason. May be because I use a lot of glow heads . I still appreciate all the help Ron.
