Thread: Thinking of going to the next level?

I have now filled 3 tackle boxes full of soft plastic's . I now need to think about the expense of my new sickness. Got to decide on the plastic, I been using spike it and it's good, but everything I read from reports the new do it plastic is the way to go? By no means have I arrived as a soft bait maker, but I can see that I could potentially get good. So where do you go from here? I know it's just a never ending leak of MONEY! Molds, duel injectors? I'm so stuck on fishing for crappie I think it would only be crappie baits, I now have a mixture of proven color combinations and shapes very few people have! I'm looking at 2 more molds, then the duel injector system. I work all the time I have 4 more years till I retire, never get to fish much but have a good paying job, but wife is noticing the money I'm spending? We have a great marriage and I will not sacrifice it for anything , I need to be balanced in my approach and with my spending. I have a 2" paddle tail and a tom tom mold with 3 diffrent lengths, I want the lake side Mini bug but it's 119.00 any of you have a suggestion on a shape of jig that would be a fish catcher and a cool bait? I second RonDon, but I started with the new plastic from do-it and cant be more happier. I also have 4 years till retirment and am building my war chest of baits so I can hit the water running with a full crappie boat of baits. Adding more molds as money allows is the way to go because when you get it you have to make 20 to 30 baits in each of the colors you want. And yes this hobby is a maddness, Dave
