Any tips on making the body bond better to the tail when shooting two different colors? I'm new at this and it seems like a I have 2-4 out of the 12 that the body and tail aren't bonded together well. I don't have this problem with my stinger swim bait mold were the tail is thicker. Seems like the problem gets worse the further down I get where I have reheated my plastic numerous times. Of course I just found out that I needed to re apply heat stabilizer about every 3 reheats. I previously wasn't doing this. Don't know if this caused the problem.

I thought about doing it this way but was partial to the tail being one color and the body another. It seems like with new plastic I have no problems. It's when I get into reheated plastic I have a problem. I also notice that some of the bodies don't shoot all the way the more I reheat the plastic. I am just wondering if not using heat stabilizer is jacking with the plastic not being evenly the same temp therefor not shooting or bonding well.

Haven't tried rigging the tail sideways - only other color I've tried is the purple/pearl and caught a few but not as many as the orange. I know I should try more colors but I'm having too much fun with the orange!
I don't have any problems on reheating plastic don't know what you're doing wrong but you can try heat stabilizer to see what happens try to heat your molds up a little bit before you shoot them sometimes it helps it sounds like you are shooting cold plastic or maybe I should say it's not hot enough sometimes if you shoot into a cold mold the plastic will harden automatically fast we've had problems with some of my molds that are fine detail and we To get them pretty hot.

I know it's bugging the heck out of the bait guys but I'm loving the bait!!!!! Gave a couple to some kids so they could fish em this morning.
Yeah I'm sure I'm making a newbie move somewhere as I've only been shooting plastics for a week! Back to the lab I go to perfect it.
