The baits shown are really almost actionless unless you really hop them. These work great when the fish get tight-lipped. When I am fishing tight to sunken wood that is vertical in the water or along pilings I love using these baits and I like to use my index finger to tap the rod a half-dozen times as I slowly drop the bait. This makes the tail vibrate real nice. Then I let the bait rest for twenty seconds or so and repeat. If we have some chop on the water these work well under a float when drifted along the outside edge of weeds or over the tops of submerged weed beds and the waves do the action making.
