I took a 3x3 square of 2x4 and drilled four pilot holes. I pounded four common nails into the pre drilled holes. I attached a wooden dowel on the center to use as a dipping handle. I can dip and make four tubes at a time. I cut the tentacles with a box knife. They are right on about wiping the nails with Pam before dipping them. Makes them easier to come off. I may dip mine two or three times depending on if I am making two tone tubes.
