Today I did a slight mod to an old jig mold that had 4 each of 1/32 and 1/16 cavities. I was using a fine wire wacky hook and in the heads cast the eye was well forward of where the conventional 90 eye lays
The jig on the left side best shows the eye relationship to that of the jig above it at 90 degrees.

As soon as I got this picture snapped I grabbed the two rigged baits and headed thru snow up to my stones with open water my goal. I finally made it to a spot with enough ice missing that I could make a decent cast so I could get a clear picture of how one head/bait acted on a retrieve without a float over the other and that forward eye jig swims this plastic like a fish without the radical hopping of the head with the 90 hook.

Now I need to place a mega order for these hooks and convert the 1/16 side of the mold to use the #2 hooks also available in the wacky world. These aren't even jig hooks and they work like a million dollars.
