Default Start up on a budget

I would like you good folks help on my start up. I been on line looking at three colorant suppliers . I will keep it simple 6 colors 3 glitters. I already have the raw plastic. Do I buy the smaller 2 oz. bottles or the larger ones? one co. That offers the x2 colorant which is 3 times the price is that the way to go? I will inject small grubs only for now till I get more adapt at mixing and injecting. I will buy some heat stabilizer to add length to product as well...any help will be a blessing...thanks I don't have a problem spending the right money up front...but I don't want to be wasteful. This money is extra money I made tying jigs and selling to friends. I want to be a good Stuart of my investment. Lb.

x2 colors I swear by them you may pay a little bit more but that stuff goes a long way and we will be ordering more of the x2 I would start out with a gallon of plastic to see if you like it or not I do not use heat stabilizers myself never have you can tie up this much money if you want into this hobby but once you get started it's very addicting we are selling our Candy Creek molds if you are interested.

X2 is the way to go. REALLY nice, translucent color...and a bottle will last forever. TIP: Put a stainless steel nut (make sure it's stainless steel!!!) into the bottle to help completely mix the colorant (that applies to any brand colorant). The pigment in colorant is heavy and will fall out of solution and needs mixing in.

For x2 I use 1 drop per oz of plastic as a general rule of thumb.

I generally add heat stabilizer after the 2nd reheat on light colors.

I'm in the same boat your in, I am getting ready to purchase a hand injector but I don't know which one to purchase. I want one that will be universal with other mold mfg's. I've played around with hand pouring, and I do agree the x2 colors are the way to go.

The X2 are good colorants (especially the fluorescents) but I dont limit myself to ONE supplier like some folks that do. I have certain colors that i prefer from 4 different suppliers. The same thing goes for molds... I buy from all but ONE!
