Ok. Here is a dumb question so I will ask anyway. Could I just mix some glo powder paint for jigs into some hot plastisol, stir, then inject into a mold or would I be just getting ready to burn my fool self? What about reheating the mixture?

    Ship....

Just order some glow pigment, not the pigmented powder paint. You'll be happier with the outcome. glow.inc is a good place to find some quality stuff but basic glow can get gotten from nettcraft and bears and caney.

Thanks CTom. Is the glo pigment just for soft plastic use? Is that the same as AV powder? Do you mix it in after you heat the plastics? Can the mixed batch be reused? Does anyone have a used minnow mold or paddle tail mold to sell? Two inch size.

Thanks to all of you for your advice this year.

Ship....you can mix the glow pigment into your plastic at any time of the process. I add mine after the initial cook to working temp for two reasons: it helps to stir out the intial bubbles and second it heats different than the plastic and can cause some clumping around the pigment as it settles easily in the raw product.

Reheats are ok with it, just be sure to snip up the cold plastic and add a shot of raw plastic, then you need to heat in 30 second increments until it is to working temp.

Glow likes to settle so keep your plastic stirred good between injections. Its easy to use and the baits can glow like crazy. Some days fish will hit anything but when those days come that they want a glow bait and none are in your box...well. One decent rip on a glow bite will pay for the product.

Use about 1/2 tsp per 4 ounce batch for small bait shooting.

Thank you my friend. I guess you can teach an "Old Ship" a new trick or two. I will check it out after my birthday on Monday. I will be 67 and the wife said "Don't burn your fool self messing around without asking the experts on c.com how to do it." Thanks to you, Skiptomylou and SnakeRiver for some great advice. I'm not "Skeered" to try it now.......well perhaps a little. I will wait until I get the right stuff and give it a go. Was this the correct website? Fluorescent Pigments
The stuff is pricey for a person not in the business of selling. Wow!

The colored glows are definitely high! You have to buy by the pound to make it reasonable. You will have no problems with using the remelts... Just remelt the same as you do without glow.

I really wouldnt try the powder paint. Its just going to get hard and clump up.
