....add these little pups to the tackle bag. Going to call them golden shiners.
We don't have any snow for run-off to stain up the rivers and lakes this spring and rains have been meager where I live. The lake is clearing up already and the color preference for a more natural bait will be here early this spring so I have to be ready.
These are the Caney 1.75 small fry grubs.....love these baits for the size and action.

Of the jig hooks you sell...what do you recommend for this bait?

I fish these on standard 1/32 heads with the #6 hook and run the hook shallow along the back. Later on, Junish, I'll up the head size to 1/16 and a #4 hook on a loose line....no float...and fan cast. With the cooler water yet and weather that is shifting around up here I like these under a float on the light head used right now because the crappies can be very depth specific and suspend even when feeding well. The smaller head weight allows these to drop slow and enticingly thru that zone.
