.....that these will sucker some crappies into hitting.
This the Jacobs Mini Mite mold's output and as a bait right from the mold I have to say they are incredible already. BUT, I am always thinking and what with the segmented body section I wanted to try eyes on these but the segments are too small. SOOOooooo, I put a clear dip on the first segment, then added 3mm eyes, then finished it all off with a second clear cover coat of plastic and here's what the result is. I love that bubble head.
The lot you see in this pic are already in the box, the box is in the boat awaiting next Weds.

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

I bought the mold sold as a mini mite mold. Within a couple hours of my purchasing it the site had the mold removed and a couple days later I got a nice letter from some Chicago attys. saying that they wanted the mold and that I couldn't do anything with it. In reply that letter, I made some vernacular reference to them having sex with themselves and kept the mold. Rick renamed the mold. It is now the Little Wiggler found in the 1 to 1.5" section of the crappie molds. And no, I am not mofdifying anything except to shoot, cut the portion with the tail off to re-insert in the mold to make the split color baits.
The baits incidentally, are fish catching units.
Here's another Rick Jacobs number. This one is a stinger with a grub [segmented] body and is 1.5" long. I did this one up in splits colors then did the double dip and eye thing again. The dime gives a guy an idea of what the actual size is.
In both of the baits shown on this threadI will say that it took me some time to warm up to the segmented bodies they have. As a rule I do not care for baits with this type of body. Don't ask why, I just don't. Then I got to studying both of these and was wanting to try eyes to see if they'd come around a bit better. Still, that front segment held up my thought process until I got it in my head to build just the first segment up just a bit with clear plastic, then apply the eye to the more substantial surface and re-dip to seal. I wasn't sure what I would end up with but in the end I like it.
This stinger I have had for some time but was saving it to add to next falls line of winter tackle, but then I decided to do it up with the eyes after the first attempt with the MM came out like it did. I'm happy now.
Good looking baits!!!!!!! What size jig head are you using with this??? Until I saw this style bait here on the board I'd never seen it anywhere else and believe me I get LOT"S of catalouges!!!!!!! Congrats for standing your ground!!!!!!!!!!
Fatman...
Everything on this thread will be fished on a 1/32 head. The standard hook size is a #6, but I also cast some up using a #8 just in case sunfish won't hook up on a 6. I like baits like this under a float as long as I don't have to fish more than 3-4 feet under it.
very nice ........... all of them are of my fav colors lol i need about 50 or 60 of them there
nice job
I took both styles down to the lake today for a taste test and they must have passed. Crappie, sunfish, bass....alll showed up licking their chops.
