I use Caney Creek regular and been very happy with it. If I want a harder body I put hardener in before heating.

I have switched 100% to Caney Creek Regular. It has great action...with excellent durability. Works really well for ice plastics also (according to Jason the formula has some cold weather friendly ingredients.).

If plastic is too soft...tails have a tendency to droop..vs. stand straight out...and from what I can see on the underwater camera you can't tell the difference in the action on a soft twitch.

You can always add a few drops of softner...or hardner...if you want...but I don't do either any more.

Medium is a good start. Soft isnt durable enough IMO!

I use soft plastic. It gives a lot of action and feels like it is alive. Fish seem to hold on pretty good too. I have only been at this a few months so I am still learning too.

I would like to add to my comment above on using soft plastic I prefer to get all the action I can out of plastics but we are still wanting it to be durable enough to take the pounding of catching fish I have not wanting to change in the past couple of years though we are trying different plastics at the present time we are using Calhoun which I truly like try to keep everyone updated on different on different plastics we are getting ready to try m-f stock number 2116 we will let you know the results when we get done shooting some of it.

Thanks all. I think I will go cc regular with softner for now. Then may try soft after that runs out.
