I'm glad that ship kept you entertained here is some pictures for you guys look at some bamboo rafts we went down the river in you will notice that the one wrapped is made out of PVC pipe which is quite interesting they are about six-inch pipes about seven pipes wide they put a 16 horsepower swamp type of my motor on it for shallow water the bamboo rafts were quite interesting is we went over little rapids it would scare you to death is the front and submerged in water we had to pick up our feet so they would not get wet you guys would really enjoy this journey on the river.Name: IMG_0252 (400x300).jpg

we did not fish every day was scheduled on a tour but we did see people fishing and they were catching small fish they fish with long poles like 12 foot long with a very small float the some type of the it looks like hamburger there are very many canals and river channels they do have Fish that are quite large similar to channel catfish that they have to three different species that I seen and locals market the surprising thing there was very few people fishing over there they do have fish farms scattered through China I did not see any sporting goods stores on our tour so they must be in the central cities if there is any at all I wish I had more time to explore the fishing myself the markets or places where they sell stuff is very well set up for tourist they come out and grab you by the shirt and try to force you into buying stuff there are many many markets for clothing and novelty stuff the street markets or something else we had a chance to visit a like a Saturday market where they sold everything from live chickens to live fish many herbs many vegetables and all kinds of other stuff anywhere from cigarettes and leaves to make them also chopped up ready to roll up into a cigarette it was unbelievable it was wall-to-wall little vendors you guys would really think you went back 75 years in the United States when we used to have a live animals to sell to eat in the fresh market it was nothing to see chopped up chickens and of course other life animals that I will not mention of course China is noted for very spicy dishes so there was a lot of Pampers hot ones my darling wife bought a ton of stuff best way to tour China is to leave your wife home ha ha.

I would love to show all the pictures on the site here but unfortunately it would take up too much room so if any of you would like to see some pictures of the trip just send me your e-mail and will gladly send you a bunch of them I wish everyone a you could go to see China it is very very interesting you would definitely love the people they are about the happiest people I've ever seen always smiling and having a great time with yourselves I have never seen any body injury or fighting or arguing between yourselves they definitely respect each other and of course they do enjoy Americans it was nothing to go down the street and have them wanting to take pictures of them and us together of course there were many different Chinese visiting from their own country so a great deal have not seen Americans for white people we seen a lot of them from northern China which they do not see any tourist at all so the really enjoyed us talking to them we had somebody speak Chinese for us so was great to have that but if any of you plan on going take up a few courses of Chinese of course the dialects are very different from city to city but pretty close to the same before I go next year we will try to take up a few lessons of speaking Chinese it will definitely help you out a great deal the people are wonderful to talk to.

the food was outstanding we had Chinese dinner every night for 14 nights the food is very spicy they definitely like vegetables and fruit a lot of course we had rice with every meal you had a different dish with each meal from sweet-and-sour pork to sweet-and-sour fish which I would say was excellent I never had sweet-and-sour fish before I give it a try the food may very from place to place like we were in Beijing and then we went to Shanghai the food was a little bit different in we went down to southern China it was a little bit different there also but primarily about the same all over the of food is not like American Chinese here in restaurants it is very different I would say a lot better over there for you beer drinkers the beer is excellent . Coffee is terrible hot tea is good but do not drink their coffee it will put hair on your toenails.

I just got your email with all thos egreat photos. The logo on your fishing hat showed up really good in the photos. You both looked like the honeymooners you are. Glad you had fun. Next time you go over there pick up a nice 14 footer crappie boat and have it shipped to Alabama. You have my address.

Mike the ones made out of PCV pipe are real easy to make just go down to your local hardware store and get some 8 inch PVC pipe and string them together keep up the front of the pipe to been up a little bit they put a deck on top of that input 8 horse power motor on the back real simple and they do a wonderful job we are thinking about making one up for the heck of it you might say that it is a pontoon boat but they had hundreds of them made up look at the very first picture and you will see that it is white PVC pipe.
