I thought that was the method used, but does the glue not have a foul smell to it that might bother the fish?

I never used superglue because I always thought it may stink up the lure....may have to try it with some of my weedles heads....

My wife lets me buy all the rods and reels I can hide.
I have used superglue for years with plastic skirts they always seem to pull off after a few fish I have never had any problems with the fish not striking we use it either on tying jigs nobody knows that but we definitely use it on our rooster jigs I prefer using gorilla superglue I buy it by the big bottles it is just part of my tackle box when I do go fishing we never leave home without I believe the guys in the Bass panfish club have been using superglue for many years I believe that some guys long their eyes on the jigs and they do you superglue.

I have super glued plastics to jig heads for over 50 years and still catch my share of fish. When the bite is on you are not constantly replacing the plastic on the jighead because a fish pulled it off. For me, like I said, it helps.
I tip with a Crappie nibble or liquid minnows too to mask the scent or even sometimes I use a wax worm.

I have never really had a reason in the past to use the glue and never really thought about it. I have just read here where people use it and have read where people do not use it because of the smell. I have actually caught fish on jigs that I put on with gas smell all over my hands before. I think scent sometimes has an affect, but it is not the most important thing. I believe if the fish are feeding and the action and color is right, the scent is the last thing they are after. I just know that in the past when I have tried adding crappie nibbles, that I stop catching fish or catch less fish. I think it affects the action of the bait. I believe if I were using tubes and injected the bait, then it might work better. I do have some of the slab sauce and liquid minnow
