    What the video doesn't show is the s-l-o-w glide & tail twitch on a horizontal swim. I used this rig in deeper water as you see it except with 8" between lures. This rig caught the doubles I mentioned. A buddy that tried the lure also hooked the head so the tail is flat, reaper style, and did as well under his bobber.

    The baits shown are made for slow retrieves; thicker longer baits are better for jerking and covering water faster, similar to hard jerk baits. I made a few that are a bit thicker and longer (4") but that still have the super thin tail (the most important part of the design).

    Next idea is to use high floatation plastic and use the lure with a Carolina rig.
