Musky, I pour several batches of one solid color until I get a pile of them or until I use the amount of plastic in the cup of that color. I then cut the tails off and remelt the bodies to use all the first color up. I then pour up another color and re-insert the tails and shoot the body. The new plastic will bond to the cool plastic. Some people think it will not, but it has worked fine for me. It is a little time consuming for sure, but I enjoy it. That is, when it is not too hot and I can get out and pour some. The temps have been 95 to 98 with a heat index close to 110. The humidity here is what makes it so bad.
I understand how to mix the tails with different bodies; but haven't seen any long way like the third one. Im wondering about doing some acid rain; white and chartreuse by cutting the body and tail longway.
Musky, it is really hard to cut it like you are talking about. It seems you can never get a straight cut and it is too time consuming. I will pm you with details on how to do it the way I do it.
CS with temps like that no wonder you don't have any problems with the bodies sticking to the tails :p:p:p:p Kidding aside nice baits!!!!!!!!!\
Fatman
yeah Fatman it is pretty steamy here thats for sure. I guess anything would stick in this heat ha ha. They do stick in cooler weather though i promise. Thanks for the compliments on the baits.

jeepguyjames, thanks for the report on the swim baits. I am glad they worked well for you. Poor ol me I have not even had a chance to wet one yet. As a matter of fact I have not tried any of my baits as of late. I have not crappie fished in a couple months. I knew the swim baits looked like they would be good though, so I am glad you gave the report. Thanks again and when the conditions are better maybe they will catch even more.
Man that's not even right, I don't think I could go that long w/out fishing, but then again I'm an addict. Well I will tell you what I will do, purely out of the kindness of my heart, and not for any selfish reasons, but mearly to help you out, and to take some of the burden off of you, send me any samples you need tested and I, now this is not selfish *LOL* but mearly to help a guy out, will put em to the test, just cause I'm that kinda guy *cough.....that's a line of BS* ha ha. Nah I like them swim baits a lot will be PM-ing you about some here in the future.

jeepguy, well here is my verdict on the situation. I finally was able to break away to get down to the water to check out those baits. I think the stingers will be great during late fall, the winter, and spring. The swim baits had some pretty good action. Like you said, even at slow speed they had action. Not only did the tail wobble, but if you noticed, the body seemed to have a left to right top to bottom action that was seperate from the tail action. It is really hard for me to explain, but you know what I mean. All in all, I think the swim bait is a good one. I appreciate the offer to test things out for me, that was pretty nice of you ha ha. Just let me know what you need in the future.
