crappiefarmer, some of mine were made out of pop molds as well. the best thing I have found to do is make my batter a little more wet than normal, not so wet that it wont dry but wet enough to dry out very smooth. If you get it real smooth and flat, when you pour them you can over fill them a little and then take something smooth and flat and press flat against the pop while the plastic is still hot. This will push the excess plastic off tot he side and you should be able to peel the trim off easily or you can get one of those real small sewing cutters that looks like a pizza cutter and once you lay them on a flat surface you can run it up the sides and the excess will slice right off of it. For two colors you can pour just a little of one color in each cavity and then top them all off with another color.
