I have a brand-new 18 footer. I've only had in the water. About five times in three years , I've looked at other boats that really have a lot of freeboard which I like a deep boat I've seen a couple down on the coast your that were built for salt water and they were definitely well-built the one I would've loved I had was 18 foot it was a custom-built by North River but I think Walters have to settle for what I got. They are too darn much money my boat will handle anything over here are you plan on buying a 16 foot 18 foot and are you going to buy a typical bass boat or are you going to buy something that is open. I like a "so why can freely walk through and stand up. I do not care for bass boat's never did like them I did not need a 300 hp engine to get me there in 2 seconds . I'll stick to my little 25 horse Mercury will get me there plenty fast.

when do the crappie go into spawning in your part of the world. I would think that is a little early, but I do not know anything about back there.

They are ready to lay now. Their eggs are ready and most crappie are being caught in 15' to 2' depths around here. We have not had cold weather in in about 3 weeks. This is early for around here by about a month.
