Well I have officially set the date for my Michigan Coast To Coast For A Cure fundraiser fishing tournament. I am calling it Crappie For A Cure and it will be held on Sunday, May 26th on Wixom Lake in Gladwin and Midland counties (Michigan). Even though it is called Crappie For A Cure it will be a crappie/bluegill/sunfish tournament. Shortly after the first of the year I will post all the details on how to sign up/ register, rules, prizes etc. Entry fee will be $20 per boat. 100% of the entry fees will be donated to Relay for life. Entry fee will include one door prize ticket per angler (max 2 per boat), and lunch after the tournament.I can tell you I have already received some great donations for prizes and over the next 8 and a half months I hope to get a whole lot more prizes so that everyone who enters will go home with something along with the good feeling of helping a great cause. Just to give you an idea of prizes available I can tell you I already have one valued at over $400. Hoping for a good turn out so spread the word and keep watching for the official post after the first of the year.

Last year I raised $2300 for Relay For Life holding a few various events throughout the year and I intend to beat that this year. I have set a goal of $3500 for this year plus I plan on beating my nonstop crossing of the state main event. Last year it took me 39 ours 17 minutes so this year I plan on doing it in 36 hours or less.
