Thread: pvc tree

I am making some trees out of pvc.Was wodering how to fasten the cross pices into the main tube. I was planning on drilling holes straight thru and placing the cross limbs thru the holes. The holes are too big for glue.

I use zip ties on mine I pre-install one tie on each cross pc. get to lake slide top end out 1st putting cross pcs. in then last zip tie after last pc. install 80 lbs of concret drop over board you can put them out by yourself this way.I've got 15-20 foot tall trees out there good all year.

I screw sheet rock screws halfway in on both sides.

I use drywall screws as well. Take the cordless drill and it only takes a couple of minutes to secure them.
