Is PVC worth it?

I placed some PVC trees in Sam Rayburn about three weeks ago and still no fish. I dropped it on a flat in 25' of water known to have fish. I stumbled upon a couple of other piles on each side of mine and have caught nice fish. Is there something else I can do for mine to draw in the fish. I managed to acquire a trailer load of pvc up to 4" and would like to know it will be worth the trouble putting it in.
The trees were 6' tall and I put a 5' horizontal limb through every 1' ,rotating around the trunk. I dropped 3 of these in the spot in a triangle thats about 7' centers. I could post some pics if needed.

I dont use pvc any I usually just use brush.

May have to wait until some algea growes on the pvc before you see any results... but it would be good to see what they looked like... Please post pic.
I have put down christmas trees and bamboo condos and they have yet to produce.... time will tell

I use PVC. It does a good job, give it some time. I took fish off of one in two weeks. some of the others have been in soaking two years with no fish and like magic I caught some pretty good fish off of them this spring.

Henman -- I have been using pvc trees similar to what you built for about 3 years now, and having excellent results from them. I build them 7 to 8 ft. tall and put them on flats next to drop offs in 17 to 20 foot water in lake Palestine. It took about 6 months for any of them to consistently hold fish, so be patient and they will definitely pay off in the long run.

YOU can bait them in there just use range cubes. About $5 for 50 pounds at the feed store.

Pro - PVC will last forever and it's pretty much snag proof.
Con - Takes about 30 - 45 days for fish to settle into it because of algea growth.
Pro - Harder for others to find with electronics.
I like pvc the best but also use tomato stakes in the same areas.

I've always used Christmas trees, and had pretty good luck.

I have quite a few PVC structures out but I think that I tried to fish them too soon. Haven't fished them in a couple of years...may be time to give them another try.
