    Default Pallet structure Gurus.....

What's the best way to utilize pallets for structure? I have pallets laying around and I wants try some around my pier. Do they seem to work good?

Nimrod uses them a lot in his home lake. He has posted pix before on how he sets em up.

Have seen them weighted with rocks wedged into the slats, 2 blocks secured under them in the middle or even on 1 edge and then either covered with slats, limbs stuffed and/ or tied into or on them and sunk horizontal or vertically...actually so long as they have proper weight, they are quite readily adaptable !

I think with stakes nailed vertically spaced atleast 8'' apart they work great and cause fewest hang ups. I use rocks in the corners between top and bottom to sink. Best thing to place IMO. If you have any doubt they work search my posts.

Man made up some tees out of the pallets and could not sink them with three blocks???? How many does it take? Mite just do the stakes when water goes down.

Drug the pallets back on shore.... Gonna wait till the water goes down then make some of nimrods stake beds. Water drops 11 foot in winter then I can drive stakes in lake bottom.

I USE WHOLE PALLETS WITH VERTICLE STAKES ADDED WITH ROCKS IN THE CORNERS. nO PROBLEM SINKING EVEN ALONE. SEEN GUYS MAKE STRUCTURE OUT OF 2 OR 3 PALLETS TOGETHER, TOO MUCH WOOD TO SINK!
