    Do any of you put something in the water to help mark the structure, or do you just try to remember where it is?

    Before GPS we would mark it on the bank some way, a little spot of paint, line up with land marks. Now days some cell phones have GPS. Most structure will be close to the bank take a picture, it all helps.

    What they said! I use GPS and a good sonar to locate. I get upset if anyone puts markers on what I sink. Because they get covered up and I can't fish them. Worse most use trotline cord or rope to attach a jug . Then my jigs hang in it and will not pull out!

    If I find where someone is marking my Brush Pile, I remove the marker, cut the line off, or what ever it takes to clear my pile. I also get upset about people visually marking my piles. If you hard the equipment to find it in the forst place, then GPS Mark It, and leave thing along.
