If you already have the boo in your yard, it will spread as far as I know unless you have it contained where the roots can't spread. If you are getting the boo from another piece of land and just cut it off close to the ground, bring it home and make the condo's, I wouldn't think it would start growing in your yard that quickly but I don't know. you could always put the stalks in a large plastic container (55 gal drum) until you make the condo's. Neighbor of mine has boo in their yard from the previous owner and it has spread into my yard, just a few new shoots every spring, but I just mow 'em down and they die, or do not continue to grow at that spot, but a few feet away, another shoot pops up.
