Will the pvc pipe stay connected to the center,just by pushing it tight ?? That was my only concern about these!!!!

I think that's what they make PVC glue for.. and I'd wait til it set up real good before I dropped it!... or use the "rain or shine" grade glue.

I'm pretty sure that glueing the pipe in would also help a great deal with preventing the two halves from coming apart.


Are there any po' mans alternatives to snagless type structure that you don't have to spend a bunch of money on just to throw it in the lake?

... or are the Crappie gods unappeased if it doesn't cost money???

pvc glue don't hold it very good. After sitting in water for a time, you can pull the pvc pipe out the ball...

I am not sure the type plastic of the ball? Some plastics don't mix and glue together well. That is why there is so many different plastic welding rods.

Mine set (glued) for over a week before I set them out. Maybe Lowes glue no good.

Being a commercial construction superintendent, I've seen/inspected many many miles of above and below ground PVC plumbing... both supply and drain.

I've found that failure in a glued joint is attributed to a very weak link between the pipe and the "in can" applicator 99.99% of the time! (if you catch my drift)

Upgrade to the rain or shine glue, it costs a little more but is worth it!
