I put in a bunch of brush (hedge) in a boat dock slip in about 10-12 ft of water when the lake is at pool level. Several fisherman (buddies) are complaining there is too much brush and can not swim a jig through it without hanging up.

The large dock has about 20 boat slips and I was unable to find much brush in any of them before I sunk brush. I am thinking the same ones complaining will be dipping in the brush when the crappie start stagging for prespawn as the dock is adjacent to rocky shallow banks with plenty of wind cover.

Is it possible to have too much structure?
