Reply With Quotei used all of the cane when i made mine.used buckets from a tree farm.spread the big pcs out and used the tops n btween.lengths varied from 5ft to 12 ft.filled n with mixed quickcrete.they look great but havnt fished due to flooded lake conditions

Bamboo Boxes?
What do yall think of making some "log cabin" type boxes put of some butts of cane? Maybe 4 feet square and 4 feet tall with all the air let out of the boo with a few blocks to hold it down and a jug or two in the top. Just trying to see what we could do with the left over butts from out cane. Thanks JD Roper

i make stake beds with left over bamboo, make a sharp end and cut right above the knuckle so you have something soild to push on. I thank this what your talking about

No, we made log house type boxes out of the end of the boo. Should have took some pics. But we cut the butts with no limbs at 4 feet long on then stacked them making a four sided house then built a top and bottom. 3 blocks late there sitting at the bottom. Made 5 of them.
