    Default Fish Fry HELP

I've been volunteered to be the official fish fryer for a large group.
    (??)
I'll have at my disposal two fish fryer's but need to know how much oil to get as well as fish batter. I'll be using Andy's fish mix. Looks like we are going to have around 35 lbs of fish to fry.

Mix of fish. Some crappie, cat fish, and blue gill.

If it was me, I would get a five gal jug of oil and 5 lbs of andys. What is left over you can use next time. They ARE going to want you to cook again for them!

PS I always use a thermomiter (cant spell) and you can add some oil if it gets too hot.

I use only peanut oil to fry anything. I buy it in 5 gallon container. It has a high heat tolerance. After you are finish frying strain the oil in cheeze cloth and coninder and fry a large onion, not to eat but to clean the grease and also knocks out the oder. Let cool and save for another fry. It really works

Start tomorrow night. Cooking for a Wild Game Supper at the church. They are expecting around 250 folks to show up. Got everything I need to get started and with a bit of help, ( from above also ) I believe we can pull it off!

I'm sure you nervous about cooking for a large group, keep it simple and you will do just fine .Also if i was closer i would stop by for some good eating.

    good luck and have fun
