The best thing to do with new cast iron is use some 360 grit sandpaper on it and smooth it out. Take off all that pre-seasoning junk off of there. Then fry something in it. Bacon or chicken or fish is best. 2 or 3 times and it will be seasoned good. Only one company in the states that makes a good non seasoned cast that I know of is Stargazer. Fields makes a good cast iron too with a good seasoning on it already.
