Guys, I read this in one of the outdoor mags and had to share it. I know I am going to try it, just have to!!
I have eaten bacon that was deep fried and it was really crispy. Kind of like when you deep fry turkey, really good and not greasy.
Will have to try this when my buddies are not looking less they die of heart failure thinking about it.
Heat 1 gallon of Canola Oil, add 2 lbs. of lard then 1 lb. of bacon. When the bacon is fried crisp, the oil is ready for fish.
