Default Crappie over an open fire

Anyone cook crappie over an open fire before? How did it go and what did you do?

I'm going camping this weekend and might be trying it out... the first thing I need to worry about is catching the crappie!

Be sure to let us know how it goes.I can see myself wrapping in tin foil wth a little butter and creole.

Fry them up. I use a big cast iron skillet with about an inch of oil. You have to flip them after about 2 / 3 minutes. Great eating !!

Either way is good, in the tin foil straight on the coals with butter and lemon pepper is hard to beat

    Thanks guys!

Used butter and lemon pepper and put them in tin foil, they were great.

Fun camping trip too, didn't get rained on until yesterday (Sunday) but we were planning on heading home then anyway.
