If you and the wife like eating fish that isnt strong tasting you should try striper. After removing all the red...when fried, you cannot hardly taste fish at all. Unbelieveable! I always thought they would be strong tasting until I started fishing for 'em. Matter of fact, we like fish that has a bit stronger taste so we dont keep the stripers. Instead we'll eat crappie, filleted bass, bream, or catfish.

Back to your question, we cut larger cats into nuggets after removing all the red. And that's only if we're fish hungry for some catfish. Usually its fresh crappie fillets for us.
