60 Year-Old Steel Heddon Pal Casting Rod - 59" long
I got this rod when I was 9 years old. For its first lifetime, it wore a Pflueger "knuckle duster" bait casting reel spooled with black braided nylon line. The nylon eventually wore grooves into the metal line guides and it was put away to gather dust & cobwebs for 40+ years.
It has been resurrected with new hard guides, tip-top and a new cork handle. The butt cap at the end of the handle is a "non-slip" furniture glide secured by a stainless machine screw. The screw threads had to be chased to clean out the decades of accumulated crud.
It now wears a long out-of-production Penn 109 reel. I put on super braid line for use in vertical jigging and trolling.

As with most the folks around here, I own too many rods!! But the one in these pictures is my favorite and the one I'd want if I could only have one. It's a 10' BnM Sam Heaton Super Sensitive. Best jigging rod on the market IMO!!
Hooking up every chance I get!

6'9"ML Fenwick HMG. Just started crappie fishing. Use this for white bass mostly. Getting ready to buy my first crappie only rod. Kinda wanted to see if I could post a pic too.....
