Tip I have been using is to make an inexpensive catfish chum by taking regular "hen scratch" from the feed store and putting into a plastic 5 gallon bucket with enough water to fill it up, cover it with the lid, and let it sit and ferment for several weeks. You do need to stir occasionally and add water as needed. The longer it sets the better it gets...
Got left over minnows? Do the same thing with them as the chicken scratch above. It will draw fish to the container like a good chum. Keep the holes small so the contents don't
get out so fast.

RATHER THAN HAVING 40 DIFFERENT COLORS ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST THREE DIFFERENT SIZES . SOMETIMES THEY WILL CRUSH A 1/32 WHILE TURNING UP THEIR NOSES AT ANY THING LARGER . THUS THE FLOAT/FLY TECHNIQUE WAS BORN .STILL TOUGH BITE ? GO TO LIGHTER LINE .
CRAPPIE fishing is not a sport, its a way of life!
