    Launched at 7 AM......I am the only one in the parking lot.....guess I did not get the message that they were not biting.....I have NEVER seen this lot empty......



    Tried the piling first.....nada.....nutin....except a cold North wind......then went exploring.....or....trying to get out of the wind.....caught first fish at 1 PM.....not even a bite up till then.....went thru all my shiners.....wound up keeping 16 sacs and 1 bass....thro back 4 small sacs and 1 shoepic......left them biting at 4......the way the day started I never would have guessed they would have turned on like that......



    Got home at 6 after gassing truck and boat....ready for next trip......Didi cooked me some of Monday's catch for supper......A & W root beer on the side......

      Good day! Its always the best when you struggle most of the day, then they turn on and you leave them biting! Makes you feel like you figured em out I much prefer that to catching em right at first light, and then they shut down and you was wishing it was first light all day... Congrats PS!       fishing with shiners under a cork there are not to many tactics......either shallow or deep.....next to structure or middle of the canal....or where to hook the shiner......I tried them all but the key here was deep....which has been working recently.....8 ft deep in 11 fow.....all caught in an area 3 ft wide x 15 ft......

      Nice catch...good eats too ! Had plans to go tomorrow but this ice and freezing temps .... bummer. Power out at 10:30 this AM and they can't tell us when we will get it back, been running generator all day.....tonight?....tomorrow.....sheesh..... thanks for the report, glad someone is out there gittin' 'em.
