I had the pleasure of fishing with Scott Williams. Billy and Scott Williams came in 2nd place last year at the Florida Championship, and they are in a good position again going into this last leg at Lake Monroe.
We Spider Rigged with his 16 foot rods which to this day I still need getting' used to. Anything longer than 12 foot is a couple foot too long for me to handle in my book. But we did good.
Funny thing is, we just caught a nice one right before the camera crew showed up. They were a day late and a dollar short. Oh well. Looks like I won't be able to be on TV like I was last year with Dan Dannenmueller! BTW, great show from last year, I really enjoyed it, and especially the good editing. If you can get it (now I finally get it via sat TV), watch Crappie Masters TV on the Pursuit Channel. It's well worth it.
The day did not warm up. The weigh in was even chilly.
We caught some nice ones, but not enough to hold the lead. We did have the lead in both Big fish and weight for three fish. But that would only go to figure since we were the first to weigh in! Lol
Gifford and Shannon Sipes with BPS representative Greg S. stole the win for both categories. Their big fish was just over two pounds.
