Hi folks.....just found this thread....I don't normally venture too far from the Louisiana home page......my wife is an artist and started going out on the boat with me to take pictures to paint....she does not like to fish but eating those crappie (sac-a-lait in south Louisiana) is another story.....she started with a point & shoot but the limited zoom soon moved her up to some better equipment....now, she has so fell in love with the photography that she has practically given up on the painting.....she has taught herself (still learning)everything including photoshop (and some other stuff ?) for the digital enhancement of her pictures.....most are taken handheld from our boat....anyway, I thought you guys would enjoy some of her pictures...some of these I had already posted on the Louisiana forum....
Absolutely wonderful pictures! Of course I have seen some of them on the Louisiana page ( hang out there the most). She does take some amazing shots and I am sure she makes good company in the boat. I wish I could talk my wife in to going sometimes.
Nice pictures! Where do you crappie fish in Louisiana?
mainly south of I10.......lately, Henderson swamp..(halfway between Baton Rouge and Lafayette).....last few years of hurricanes messed up my favorite fishing near Morgan City....
most of those shots were with a Canon 10D or 40D with a Canon EF 70-200 2.8 L IS lense....she now is using a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon EF 300 2.8 L IS lense as her primary birding equipment.....she also uses a 1.4 Canon teleconverter on all her bird shots....
