And the rod was a browning Airstream 6’6” ul and definitely up to the task. Followed the kitty in the pic with 2@16” and another at 12” also got a few crappie that day that all looked pretty much the same as this one.
The rod gets the nicest bend when it’s put to work.
Today I met up with Slabprowler and he took me to Nickajack for the first trip, but not the last. We got largemouth and smallmouth and spotted bass, yellow perch (littles), bluegill and enough crappie to make a meal or two. Mitch had to show me up with this little feller. Put a serious bend in the rod.
And of course, where we fished is absolutely beautiful.
Really enjoying the time fishing lately, aside from the heat. Good friends and good fishing make for very good days. Here’s a pic of a friend that doesn’t post much anymore but we don’t hold that against him. C1BigOCarp, or Randy to those of us that know him.
Looking forward to cooler weather and to see what trips come my way along with it. Hope that y’all are well and getting out when you can. Til next time……Skeet
